The city provides just the right location for outdoor endeavors, no matter where you live in the city. Clearfield has seventeen parks, ranging from just half an acre to over 20 acres, with varying park amenities. Picnic pavilions and restrooms are provided at most parks. Park restrooms are winterized and closed from mid-October through mid-April.
Clearfield City Code 8-5-2 states city parks are closed twelve o’clock (12:00) midnight until five o’clock (5:00) A.M. (Ord. 95-7, 7-25-1995).
Park Picnic Pavilion Rentals
Picnic pavilion rentals will be accepted beginning March 1, on a first-come, first-served basis, for reservations from May 1 through September 30. Reservation fees must be paid at the time of application. Four (4) days' advance notice is required for all reservations.
Rental fee for Clearfield residents $15.00
Rental fee for non-residents $35.00
Refundable cleaning deposit of $25 will be refunded after the rental if the pavilion is left in the same condition as it was before the rental.
Cancellation/Refund Policy: Cancellations must be made during regular business hours. A full refund may be granted, minus $5 administration fee, if cancelled 24 hours prior to the event or by noon on Friday for a weekend rental. No refunds will be granted if less than 24-hour notice is given. No refunds due to inclement weather; however, the cleaning deposit will be refunded.
Community Fishing Ponds
Clearfield City has two ponds open for fishing, Steed Pond and Mabey Pond. Fishing is governed by the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources. Those fishing in the ponds must have a current fishing license and honor the daily limit of 2 fish. Fishing is not allowed when city parks are closed.
