World's Largest Swim Lesson- June 22nd 2017

Join the CAFC in raising awareness about water safety and child drowning prevention each year in June at the World's Largest Swim Lesson. We help break a World Record each year! Register for this free event at www.reconline.org under morning swim lessons and World's Largest Swim Lesson.

The nation's top water safety and training organizations are joining forces to present The World's Largest Swimming Lesson (WLSL), Thursday, June 22, 2017, to build awareness about the vital importance of teaching children to swim to help prevent drowning. On June 22, waterparks, pools and other aquatic facilities around the globe will host local WLSL lessons to make noise that Swimming Lessons Save Lives.  Swimming is a life-saving skill for children and a vital tool to prevent drowning, the second leading cause of unintended, injury-related death for children ages 1-14. The World's Largest Swimming Lesson was created to serve as a platform to help local community aquatic facilities and the many different national, regional and state wide water safety and drowning prevention organizations work together to tell this important story on a local and national level.

July 4th Celebration Clearfield City puts on an awesome 4th of July Celebration each year. The Clearfield Aquatic and Fitness Center will be hosting a Free Pool Party on July 3rd from 7:30-9 p.m. and hosting the 3rd annual Watermelon Drop. To enter the Watermelon Drop fill out an entry form and email it to mckell.christensen@clearfieldcity.org or drussell@clearfieldcity.org.

Kids'Splash, Ride & Dash Join us August 5 race starts at 8:00 a.m. This event is for young athletes ages 6-14. Register at www.reconline.org or by calling 801-525-2641. 

Kids have the option of signing up for the triathlon only ($25R / $30NR) or for the race and four clinics that will be held throughout the summer to help them train for the triathlon ($40R / $45NR). Training for a triathlon is a great way to spend your summer and even earn your BSA Personal Fitness Merit Badge. Tentative Clinic dates are: Swim- June 23, Bike- July 7, Run- July 21, and Nutrition & Spaghetti Dinner August 4. We offer Novice and Competitive divisions.  

RESULTS 2016 - Kids Splash Ride Dash

Boo-nanza- Come have a spooky timat the CAFC on the fourth Saturday in October. The facility closes to the public at 11:00 a.m. to transform into a family friendly Halloween adventure and reopens from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. There are games and activities for all ages, but no swimming during this event.


Fall Fitness Frenzy
 It begins with Thanksgiving…who can resist the pumpkin pie, the stuffing, the mashed potatoes and gravy? Then our workouts dwindle because we’re too busy with holiday activities. 
STOP! It doesn’t have to be that way. Let the staff at the Clearfield Aquatic & Fitness Center help you stay motivated to exercise and eat healthfully during the holidays. Join us for the Fall Fitness Frenzy beginning in November. Anyone can participate! Each time you work out at the Aquatic Center, front desk staff will initial your Fall Fitness Frenzy card(s). The more cards you complete the better chance you have to win prizes. A prize drawing will take place the first week of December for free personal training sessions, gift cards and more. You don’t have to be present to win.

Swim with Santa - Join us for this fun holiday event for children ages 6 months to 12 years. Bring your elves to Swim with Santa for hours of fun! Activities for the little elves include crafts, games, swimming and a visit from Santa! Spots are limited. Wear comfortable clothing over a swimming suit. Anyone under 7 must be accompanied by an adult in the water by an adult. Event is $7.50 a child.

Health Fair  will be the second Friday in January This event will be held in the lobby of the CAFC and feature vendors who will help you focus on your health in the new year. Highlights will include massages, blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol checks along with skin care and healthy food samples. Vendors and events vary year to year but this event is a must attend for your new years goals.

Sweat with your Sweetheart Mini-Triathlon will be the second Saturday in February. This event is held entirely indoors to break free of the winter blues. Participants will swim in the pool, bike on the spin bikes and run on the track. Individuals over the age of 16 can participate in this exciting and fun event with awesome prizes! It's a great non-sanctioned fun event for everyone whether you have a Valentine or not.

Egg Dive is held the Saturday of Easter weekend for children ages 0-12 years of age.  There are two sessions to choose from: 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. or 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. Children dive for eggs in our pools and redeem them for prizes or money! Summer Blitz  - The Last Friday in April- We invite you to visit the Clearfield Aquatic & Fitness Center on Friday, April 28 from 3:30-7:00 p.m. to check out our summer aquatic and recreation programs and  register early to get the dates and times you need. (Online and regular registration  for our summer programs begins May 1).  We will have a great inflatable obstacle course, swimming for $1, representatives to help explain our programs, a drawing for a free British Soccer Camp registration, a free bike helmet for the first 10 Kids' Splash, Ride & Dash Mini-Tri and clinics registrants, games, refreshments and the amazing "Toasted Cheeser" food truck. There's even a $5 off coupon in our Summer Activity Guide! Sound like fun? It will be!

National Senior Health and Fitness Day  - You are invited to join us at the Clearfield Aquatic & Fitness Center on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 from 8 am-12 noon, to celebrate seniors and fitness. We invite you to visit our vendor tables to test healthy recipes, learn new ways to stay healthy, and take a few health assessments. Visit all the booths and you can be entered to win some amazing prizes like an Aquatic & Fitness Center pass! All of our fitness classes, land and water, are free for adults over 55. There is also a free healthy cooking class and bingo in the classroom on the pool deck. The goal for this national event is to help keep older Americans healthy and fit. Mark your calendar and plan to join with over 100,000 others nationwide learning more about living a healthy lifestyle.
