Clearfield City Fourth of July Celebration 2020

Clearfield City’s Fourth of July Celebration represents the best of America – a time for friends and family to gather and celebrate what we love about our country and our community.

Mayor and Council Parade Through Clearfield
Saturday, July 4 at 9 AM

Our Mayor and City Council want to bring the 4th of July parade to you! They will be parading through the City on the 4th of July, and they’re promising a party to everyone who comes to watch. As the 4th approaches, we’ll send out a map of their parade route so you can go out to meet them when they get there. If you participate in the patriotic house decorating contest, they’ll add your house as a stop along their route. Please maintain social distancing while watching the parade.

Drive-In Movie
Friday, July 3, Movie Begins at Dusk

Join us at Fisher Park on July 3 to enjoy a sunset showing of a movie from your cars. We'll be showing Independence Day in the east parking lot (by the skate park) and Night At the Museum in the west parking lot (by the church, closest to the road). The movies will begin at dusk, between 9:45-10:00 p.m. You can reserve your car a spot for free beginning June 22 at You must have a reservation to watch the movie.

Fun Run Routes
Saturday, July 4, All Day

We’re not holding a formal fun run this year, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still get active the morning of the 4th. There will be a 5k route at Steed Park, a 2 mile route at Fox Hollow Park, and a 1 mile route at Barlow park. Feel free to bring your families over to the parks any time on the 4th of July to follow the painted routes and get active!

Paint the Parks
Friday, June 26 at 7:00 PM

Grab your family and channel your inner Picasso while helping us paint our parks patriotic! We want our community to join us at Barlow, Steed, and Fox Hollow parks to paint and decorate a pre-stenciled star on the sidewalks. This will be a lot like our usual paint the bridge activity, but three locations and spread out stars allow for some serious social distancing. We’ll provide the paint if you provide the painters!

Search the City
Saturday, July 4 at Noon
Keep your Instagram and Facebook notifications on, because we’re dropping clues for a patriotic Search the City at noon on the 4th of July! We’ll be hiding big stars all over the City for you and your family to go out and find. Watch our social media channels to catch the clues, rules, and prizes. Happy hunting!

Virtual Patriotic Concert

Thursday, July 2 at 7:00 PM

We’ll be hosting a watch party on our Facebook page for a virtual band concert! Tune in to enjoy some of our favorite patriotic classics to get in the mood for the 4th of July. Follow @ClearfieldCity on Facebook to watch!

The Night of the 4th
Saturday, July 4 at 10:00 PM

We want to do a big Clearfield fireworks show, but we need your help! We’re going to broadcast the singing of the National Anthem of Facebook at 10 p.m. on the 4th of July, and after the song is over, we want you all to light off your own fireworks to give your neighbors quite the show! Please use good judgement and only set off legal fireworks to keep everyone safe. Fireworks are not allowed in City parks or on private property.
